Proposed list of hazards contains inaccuracies
An argument that holds that the list of example hazardous materials in electronic equipment proposed by BAN to be included in the Guidelines (as Annex II bis) contains inaccuracies that not all Basel Parties have agreed to.
“The United States does not support the addition of this text and the associated table. Additionally, there are a number of inaccurate entries based upon assumptions that are not agreed upon by the Basel Parties.“

From p. 1 of response by the United States to Basel Secretariat. 2012. ‘Draft Technical Guidelines on Transboundary Movement of E-Waste, in Particular Regarding the Distinction between Waste and Non-Waste (Version 8 May 2012)’. http://www.basel.int/Implementation/Ewaste/TechnicalGuidelines/DevelopmentofTGs/tabid/2377/Default.aspx.
