The tools listed here are all developed by KF collaborators or stakeholders: DebateGraph, Induct Software and WikiDiario. Knowledge Federation's value proposition to its IT / knowledge work tool builders is socio-technical system design (alias 'systemic innovation') – design of large-scale systemic solutions for key areas in knowledge work where the technologies have a natural application. The benefits are obvious – new markets open up, where the technology is used to enable new ways of working (instead of as an add-on to old ones). Knowledge Federation undertakes to develop what we might call a 'natural' approach to IT innovation – where instead of focusing on tools, we focus on function, then develop systemic solutions that best implement the function – and then the tools, to implement the basic building blocks in those systems. An added value is, of course, applying the power of IT to facilitate systemic change (read: solutions to global issues, or sustainability). In this project we have been fortunate to collaborate with three technical groups that are in the forefront of key technical developments: DebateGraph, Induct Software and WikiDiario.
