Require notification for used EEE

“Colombia considers that it is important to maintain this requirement or clarification in paragraphs 27 and 29. That is to say that although the authority has not previously notified the Secretariat of its intention or not to receive used EEE, the export only proceeds when the person in charge of such transportation Has obtained confirmation from the authority of the country of destination that such equipment is not considered a waste.”

“In case a country has not communicated any such information, exports to that country are only allowed if the importer has obtained written permission from the authorities in the country of destination for the import of such specific consignment of equipment and in case it will be re-exported back after such failure analysis, repair and refurbishment then the confirmation that the equipment is not considered to be waste.”
