Family Nurse Partnership

Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) [1] is a voluntary home-visiting programme for first-time young mums, aged 19 years or under, from the early stages of pregnancy until their child is two. The FNP works in partnership with other stakeholders to enable young mums to improve their pregnancy outcomes as well as their child’s health and development by developing parenting knowledge and skills, increasing parents’ economic self-sufficiency and helping them to achieve their aspirations (such as employment or returning to education) [2]
