Childhood Development Initiative

Childhood Development Initiative (CDI) [1] supports the delivery of a range of early intervention and prevention programmes to improve outcomes for children in disadvantaged areas in Tallaght West and Ireland. This includes childhood care and education, child development courses, parental support and community programmes, among others. CDI is co-funded by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs and the Atlantic Philanthropies. It is currently part of the government's Area Based Childhood programme supporting prevention and early-intervention work at 13 sites across Ireland [2]
