Inuit Circumpolar Council (ICC)
Established in 1977, the ICC represents approximately 150,000 Inuit living in Alaska, Canada, Greenland and Chukotka (Russia), who are jointly referred to as the Inuit Nunaat. The ICC "Circumpolar Inuit Declaration on Sovereignty In The Arctic,” ratified in April 2009, sets out the foundations for action by Inuit together with Arctic States directed toward charting the future of the Arctic.
