Parallels between phenomenology and other sciences eg. astronomy

There are sciences where only observation is possilbe and this is similar in some ways to phenomenology: Astronomy and geology  are examples of sciences where you often can't do experiments - you can only observe. This is also true of phenomenology. Equally you can't create verifiability through a controlled experiment - you have to do repeatable observations. This is largely true of phenomenology as well. Often what appears to be a controlled experiment in eg. astronomy turns out to be actually physics or chemistry - likewise in phenomenology what appears to be a controlled experiment is often actually neurology or psychology.
