Will It With VP Noli de Castro?
As a well-behaved VP for the whole term, he very well knows the entire workings of the Palace now and therefore, he had been ready to step in as President, by mandate.

Any president would have look for the likes of Noli de Castro for a VP.
Very well behaved, no controversies (some tried but better luck next time).  This guy knows his proper place.  He could have been potentially as controversial as the First Gentleman, if he were not level headed.  But, he proves that he is level headed.

The north railway project, under the VP's watch, had been embroilled with controversies but more beamed towards the First Gentleman than VP de Castro.  Probably a right move for the vice president.

If there were any merit to what Estrada had been quipping: "less talk, less mistakes", this would be epitomized by VP Noli and this guy has been tried and tested quite a number of times.

Not even a fellow presidential contender, Loren Legarda, was successful in challenging his mandate as the elected VP as the latter claims that she won the vice presidency and not he.  Given the temperament and aggressiveness of Senator Legarda, I would not even say that she would have been a better VP than de Castro, i.e., she is just too independent minded for a VP and wont to over shadow the presidency at times.  That's meant as a compliment though its coming out as a comparative interjection.

President Arroyo is just too lucky to have found VP Noli.  If I were him and President Arroyo does not support his candidacy to replace her, I would... well, raise hell perhaps?  Though the other administration candidates like Bayani Fernando and Gilbert Teodoro are equally good ones, too.

What has VP Noli done as the Housing Czar?  I am not too sure but I would say lowering the housing interest cost is under his watch.  Still, his encumbency as the housing czar does not even approximate the excitement, the vibrancy and the renaissance of the housing industry under Imelda Marcos then, which was really an unprecedented renaissance of the housing sector then.  But, it may not be too late yet.  There's still a year to go VP Noli.

This though would conflict with the vice president's decorum though he is not new to being the center of attraction being a popular mediaman then.  Look at the bigger picture man, this could be your defining moment.  It is now time to create noise, much noise, and the president would understand.

So, will the Philippines prosper under Noli de Castro?  I don't know just yet.  VP Noli, create more noise.  Now na!
