B. Critique of neo-realism
There are different kinds of constructivism, but the body of theory emerged in part as a critique of neo-realism and neo-liberalism. It said the ‘neo-neo’ debate had come to symbolise all there was in theorising international politics to the exclusion of other legitimate ways of thinking.
