Abolishment is NOT the answer
Just because something has one or two flaws does not mean abolishment is the answer.
That is like abolishing fire engines all together because on a few occasions houses burned.  Instead, find a way to reform the system to ensure that both arbitrary and discriminatory flaws in the system vanish.  If the vehicles present ongoing disaster like hitting pedestrians and malfunctioning fire hoses and in turn become more a threat to a community than good then by all means abolishment is the answer, but until that is the case fire engines will continue to be used.  If and when capital punishment becomes an institution producing more harm than good, we should cease to use it.  Until the death penalty becomes a danger, that is innocents losing their lives recreationally and is no longer a justified punishment, it should remain a necessary and just punishment.
