Attractive content offers will stimulate demand for higher broadband speeds and capacity, which in turn creates the business case for investments in faster networks.

Economic growth and the development of new business models in the creative industries depend considerably on efficient clearing, licensing, reporting and distribution of royalties systems which can be supported by digital technologies.

The workshop will also provide an occasion for broad stakeholder dialogue on the future challenges and vision of intellectual property management in the digital environment.

This workshop is related to Digital Agenda action 4 and action 5.

“Technical demonstrator"

The technical demonstrator will present use cases from different content sectors, including music, audiovisual content and publishing to give concrete examples and to illustrate the complex and abstract licensing processes, e.g. through metadata, standards and databases.

In the first moderated panel, the different points of view on the use of IT as a tool for management of creative content will be presented by panel members from different stakeholder-groups, including:

Panel 2: How can policy assist in the implementation of sustainable and innovative creative businesses to the benefit of consumers?
