Radioactive Decays
In particle physics, an unstable particle decay is the spontaneous process of one unstable subatomic particle transforming into multiple lighter particles. A radioactive decay is the process by which an unstable atomic nucleus is transformed into a lighter nucleus accompanied by the emission of particles or radiation. Both have the same origin and are governed by the strong and weak forces.
