Attendees
- John P
- Neal
- JeffO
- Dave
- Mei Lin Overview

Great to have Neal on the call again and a good part of the meeting was centered on further exploring the intersection of identity theft and natural calamities, noting that there are now 2,000 FBI cases in the wine country of stolen identity that exploits the Equifax breach specifi- cally.
Jeff introduced the challenge we have of getting people out of the at- titude of being resigned to the fact that there is information has been stolen and there is nothing they can do to making people aware.
Comparisons drawn to the concept of preventative versus curative medicine.
Mei Lin referenced work by Sean Flynn - see later.
We also has a short discussion around Technological solutions that could be brought to bear - see later.
Neal - Reiterating
- there really is no sharing of information
- people who volunteer don’t think about implications of protecting
the information they are collecting

Technology Solutions
Technology solutions were raised once more - specifically Katherine and Liwen from Wault - while not on the call - have strong feelings that Wault can solve the problem at hand. We wouldn’t disagree, but ....
The general consensus of the team assembled was that we still really do not have a clear view of what problem we are trying to solve and are reticent to put the cart before the horse.
   3

Also reminding us all that we have already identified 4 different tech- nologies/companies that are capable of solving some aspect of the problem - if not all.
- Wault

More to come on this topic as we move forward.
