Internet mediated crowdsourcing selects for a narrow demographic
To participate in an internet debate requires access to the internet and the (cultural) know-how to contribute. Naturally this selects for a particular demographic, namely the younger generations and those not on the lowest incomes. Moreover, only those who want to contribute, not all those who can, will. Both these factors will add a bias to any crowdsourced debate
