The survey has been unevenly answered by populations around the world. The survey records 140,000+ responses from Nigeria, but just 11 from Chad. (April, 2013)

responded to these criticisms:
"we're not claiming this survey is representative of anything more than the..people who have done it.
"MY World is doing two things - getting big numbers, and doing smaller representative surveys in a number of countries. We are going to analyse that data separately so we can be clear what the representative surveys are telling us, and also we are working with Ipsos Mori to experiment with different ways of weighting the big numbers to create a better global picture."
