Improved treatment in prisons
Treatment in prisons should be improved in line with the guidance issued by the Department of Health in December 2006.
The gudiance was issued by the Department of Health in partnership with the NTA, the Royal College of General Practitioners, the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

The guidance is entitled Clinical management of drug dependences in the adult prison setting, including psychosocial treatment as a core part.
