Background information

The Digital Agenda for Europe is the European Union's roadmap for bringing the benefits of a digital society and economy to Europe's citizens. But it can only deliver if all stakeholders are involved in assessing problems and identifying solutions.

The plenary sessions as well as 7 workshops will be streamed live .

Objectives

The main objectives of the Assembly are to:

• Assess progress to date on implementation towards the Digital Agenda's goals and actions and seek ways to improve delivery;
• Identify challenges ahead for the implementation of the Digital Agenda and for the information society in general;
• Mobilise stakeholders' actions to make further progress and address challenges.

Programme

The Assembly consists of an online engagement space launched ahead of the event, 8workshops on key Digital Agenda topics and a plenary session to report feedback on previous discussions and hold debates on the way forward. View the full draft programme online. The plenary sessions as well as 7 workshops will be streamed LIVE.

Venue

The conference takes place in the premises of EU Institutions in Brussels: on the first day, workshops at the Committee of the Regions (rue Belliard 99-101) / European Economic and Social Committee (rue Belliard 99); on the second day plenary at theEuropean Parliament (Hemicycle), rue Wiertz 60, DAA entrance via Altiero Spinelli building (from Place du Luxembourg side).Venue map ( pdf 662 kB)
