Quark-gluon plasma
If a very high amount of energy is provided to quarks, the particles become so agitated that they can break loose of the strong interaction and leave the hadrons. This deconfinement would produce a new form of matter called plasma, in which quarks and gluons (carriers of the strong interaction) are free particles. QGP is believed to have existed just after the Big Bang and can be created in high-energy heavy-ion collisions, such as those performed at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN.
