My Government will introduce legislation to implement recommendations from the Final Report of the Commission on Scottish Devolution.

The purpose of the Bill is to:

The Bill would implement recommendations of the Final Report of the Commission on Scottish Devolution (the Calman Commission).

The main benefits of the Bill would be:

•Strengthening the devolution settlement in Scotland.

•Increasing the financial accountability of the Scottish Parliament.

•Renewing the policy responsibility split between the UK and Scottish Parliament.

•Improving the relationship between the UK Government and Scottish Ministers.
