What is a knowledge map?
Knowledge maps are a means to organize knowledge and log and arbitrate opinions around that knowledge. They aid us in organizing knowledge with links and relationships, viewable by all, in a way that can be reviewed and revised by many contributors.
How is this map organized?
The Global-Brain Mapping Project has four main sections:
- What are the components of Sapiens plurum?
- Research on Global Brain Theory
- Impacts of Sapiens Plurum
- Action items
There is also a directory of people and other participants, plus a background section.
How should I format my contributions?
The primary content of the map follows this format:
Issue --> Position --> Supporting or Opposing Argument
Citations can be added at any point. The research node requires research citations.
Map Views
The map has many ways to view information. I found that just clicking on View and trying them out is the best way to decide which suits your purpose. My favorites are Tree/Emerging to view information and page or document to print or send pdf's. See Help for detailed descriptions of each view.
Who is invited to the community here?
Anyone with a genuine interest in the topic of communal intelligence is invited to comment.

When will it be finished?
Never. It is continually updated. Join DebateGraph and request notification of updates via the Community tab.
How can I help?
2. Sign in. (If you have joined previously, you may need to sign out before you can sign in; it seems to require this every 24 hrs.)
3. Please add to the map, add discussion of elements in the map that you agree or disagree with. Cite references to support your point. If you see something that you think should be moved or removed, please comment so the moderator can take note.
For example, to add a global brain component, click on "Components of Global Intelligence" and then click "Add idea." When you finish adding, click on your new idea and then click "Cite" to reference a citation to support it. If your description does not fit in the allowed space or you want to an image or link, click on the detail tab and add details. It is all a little arcane and we hope to improve the interface soon, but please bear with us for the time being.
