Linda Neuhauser
Linda Neuhauser DrPH, MPH, is Clinical Professor of Community Health and Human Development at the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health. Her research, teaching and practice are focused on translating research findings into improved health programs and policies.

 

Linda uses participatory approaches to create programs and communication that are relevant to the specific needs of the intended audiences. She is especially interested in adapting design methods from engineering and computer science to improve large-scale health initiatives.

 

She also heads the UC Berkeley HealthResearch for Action Center that works with diverse groups to co-design,implement and evaluate health programs in the US and globally. She is currently working on a participatory project to help migrant factory workers in China take more control over life and work issues.

She has served on many federal committees one-health, m-health, website quality, risk communication and other topics. In 2013, she received the CharlesAtkin Outstanding Translational Health Communication Scholar Award. She was previously a health officer in West and Central Africa with the US Agency forInternational Development.
