Απόσπασμα-
Silby offers a philosophical viewpoint and falls on the opposing side of the simulation argument. He summarizes the ideas of the hypothesis on the basis that the possibility that we exist in a simulated universe comes from the idea that it is possible for a computer to run a simulation of any system that follows a pre-defined series of rules. In the last century we have identified many universal constants that appear to exist everywhere and on all scales--the universe is very much a rule-following system. In a simulated universe, this reality could take the form of data arrays that only demonstrate subatomic particles on the rare occasions when the inhabitants are resolving their experience of the universe to that level – for instance, when doing quantum experiments. This source offers some of the main ontological/philosophical arguments against simulation hypothesis, namely, ontological economy, the cosmological argument, and moral evolution.
