This map (essentially a collection of connected multi-media pages laid out in space) was created using a Cloud-based system written by Thoughtgraph, Ltd. This software's primary implementation is as DebateGraph.

Its use here -- for news cartography -- is experimental (see the video), but designed to show how maps could be used to graphically present an ongoing news story, with the map structure choreographed appropriately as the story progresses.

This map went live June 6 2010 and has been updated only sporadically since August 2010 (approximately). It can be added to and edited at any time.

The map can be presented in a variety of Views (see top navigation menu) including the dynamic Bubble Views (good for laptop/desktop) and the Page View (good for mobile). The system is device-adaptive (it chooses different displays depending on the hardware you are using).
