CO2 lagged behind temperature in Ice Age long term variability
There is a positive feedback loop, where higher temperatures started by Malinkovitch cycles, led to more CO2 (from forest fires & outgassing from the oceans) which leads to more warming. The duration of these cycles cannot be explained without factoring in CO2 -induced warming.
