| Extrait - ANNAN: No, I think one has to really encourage -- the population has to get involved. In the Kenyan situation, civil society, religious groups, businesses are very much involved. I worked with all of them. This is their society. It is their country. And the agreement is their agreement.
In all these countries, we need to impart civil society to get engaged and maintain the pressure on the politicians to keep them on their toes. And we need to ensure that elections are free and fair and the votes of people count.
