Individual Citizen Action
Individual and community action are imperative, but not enough. Sooner, rather than later, the work organizations of a community (and the world) must create the processes that allow citizens and communities to be effective. Some of them must learn to coach us in what we must do individually.
A simple example of this is garbage collection that includes items for recycle. Segregating items for recycle or reuse is necessary if the world is to work using a much lower percentage of virgin raw material and energy. However, this sorting out does little good unless work organizations actually develop the means and methods to use the stuff collected.
