Disasppearing frogs
About 20 species of frogs are thought to have become extinct in the past 20 years. Australia seems to have the biggest problem, possibly from ponds drying up in prolonged drought.
This attracts less attention than bees, but its of concern to biologist who stay close to such things. And as with the bees, it is uncertain whether cause is just loss of habitat, or whether chemicals like endocrine are part of the story. At any rate, frog loss suggests environmental changes that may not favor humans in the long run.
