Britain’s Healthiest Workplace (formerly Britain’s Healthiest Company) [1] is ‘the UK’s most comprehensive workplace wellness study’, completed both by employer and employees, therefore offering both a top-down and bottom-up view of the nation’s health. ‘Participating employers will gain a better understanding of the health risks affecting their employees, how these change over time, and their associated health and productivity impact. The research also looks at how organisations, through the workplace, can support their employees to be healthier and more productive, and provides recommendations for improvement.’ A Britain’s Healthiest Workplace Award was established in 2013, since which time 230 companies and over 65,000 employees have taken part [2].
