Sex Education Forum

The Sex Education Forum [1] is a membership organisation and works together with its members and other stakeholders to achieve quality sex and relationships education (SRE). Established in 1987, the forum believe that all children and young people have the right to good SRE. Its work on SRE is underpinned by evidence, a rights-based approach and the expressed needs of children and young people. The forum has three main objectives: to ensure children and young people's entitlement to SRE is firmly embedded into national and local government policies and public understanding; to support professionals to access and share information; to identify, explore and respond to new themes emerging in practice, policy and research; to provide leadership to facilitate wider discussions about new ideas [2].
