We can use the space station to mine right on the surface of the moon
In an article done by The Moscow Times on May 8th, 2014 it talks about how Russia is planning to have a space colony on the moon by the year 2030. First they are going to send up lunar rovers first by 2016, and by 2030 they plan to have the colony built so that humans may start colonizing up on the moon.
