NCPC works with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) to spread these messages of crime prevention and safety.
Preventing Child Abduction: More than Stranger Safety
Although most parents teach their children not to talk to strangers, the reality is that not all strangers are dangerous and not all known adults are safe. The vast majority of children who are abducted are taken by non-custodial parents and family acquaintances. Teach children to always check with a parent before going anywhere with anyone.
