Agamben: extreme form of biopolitcal life = 'bare life'
Biopower as a means of controlling life is seen in an extreme form in what Agamben calls ‘bare life’. This is life reduced to its biological minimum, e.g. modern death camp. Life lived in death camps is life stripped of any political standing and subject to being killed at the whim of authorities
