Child obesity is epidemic in our country that needs to be taken care of immediately. I agree that the government SHOULD intervene in these types of cases because without  action, we wouldn't see any positive changes. According to http://www.infoplease.com/world/statistics/obesity.html, the United States in the 9th fattest country in the world, with a 74.1% obesity rate.

The example of children being extremely fat is something that the world needs to be exposed to more often. When cases like that come up, there isnt any other solution that would take care of the children than having them be taken from their parents in order for treatment. It might sound a bit harsh but these kids wouldnt permanently be taken away. Once their parents are more educated and kids find another healthier way to live their lives then they can be reunited. This will positivly affect their lives by giving them a chance at a healthier life with less problems in the future.

This topic is extremely important to be talked about. Exposure of the truth behind these "fat" kids will teach us that our eating habits are ruining our future generations. Immediate attention and action is the only way we can solve this problem.
