As of 2010 the seven least populous states were Alaska, Delaware, the District of Columbia, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, and Wyoming. They represented a combined total of about 4million voters and 21 electoral votes. These 4 million voters carried the same weight as the 14 million voters in Florida who also were represented over 21 electoral votes. Thus, a vote in Florida carried about 1/3 of the weight of a vote case in one of the 7 most rural states. |
