Faithless Electors do not represent the will of their constituents.
A faithless elector is an individual in the electoral college who votes differently than what he/she is pledged to vote.
There are 22 instances where this has happened. When this occurs individual's representative votes are not "heard" The most recent occurrence of this was in 2004.
