Heavy collateral damage
High tech warfare (precision-guided bombs, etc) is presented by military officials and the media, on the first days of a new war, as a very precise, "surgical" means of targeting strategic objectives. Unfortunately, the war doesn't end there. To win the war, you then need to defeat/kill real people.
