Positron Beams
The antiparticle of the electron is the first antimatter particle to have been predicted (by Dirac in 1927) then discovered (by Anderson in 1932). The electron and the positron share many properties (e.g. their mass), but have opposite electric charges. Positrons are used in medical application (PET) and can be accelerated as beams to produce electron-positron collisions.
