Excerpt / Summary
The Action Plan presents sixty-four (64) points of action, described as achievable before the next Review Conference in 2015. Some actions request reports on progress sooner than that, and the actions related to the implementation of the 1995 Resolution on the Middle East have a shorter time-frame attached (a Conference in 2012 of all states in the region).
This paper analyses the outcome document- NPT/Conf.2010/50 (Vol. I). It is divided into four sections- Disarmament, Non Proliferation, Peaceful Uses, and the Middle East Weapons of Mass Destruction Free Zone. Nuclear Weapon State in this document refers to the Permanent Five (P5)2 members of the United Nations Security Council, or those States recognized under the NPT as nuclear weapons States.
