Switch to Argument Mapping
I moved to differentiating label colour and link colour in my argument maps (example), a la Rationale.
From an e-mail from Simon:

"There is a bigger challenge that is inherent to IBIS which is that it all gets confusing when you start to link a pro to a con to a pro... this is where I moved to differentiating label colour and link colour in my argument maps. A green label supports the parent position, a red one challenges. But a green or red argument can support OR challenge another. So if the leaf node of a branch is green, then it's a clue that this may be the last word: the position is supported, because no-one has challenged it (and vice versa for red)."
