Comparing the DebateGraph platform to an airplane manufacturing facility and maps to airplanes ...
1. because then we can think of the maps as different kinds of airplanes, depending on the number of people "on" them; big jets (with hundreds of people on board, i.e. in the community), business jets with perhaps 20, small 'planes with perhaps one or two people and then gliders, which are maps that just float in the wind (i.e. just designed for viewing). Each of these kinds of maps ('planes) requires different functions from DebateGraph ... and gets them, to a lesser or greater extent.
2. and I like the idea of planes, rather than printed material, for a different reason. 'Planes are going somewhere and I think that idea of travel also captures the idea of the development of the DebateGraph map. The DebateGraph maps are certainly vehicles for thought, but they are also moving vehicles, going somewhere, taking their passengers (the map community) to a different place than they were at the start, as the map is built and edited and choreographed (altered "in mid-flight"). Moderators can be compared to pilots, co-pilots and other crew.
