Recognize benefits of repair and reuse
A position that prolonging the use of electronics as well as their repair and reuse have economic, social and environmental benefits that should be made explicit in the Technical Guidelines.

“ITI suggests that this section ["About E-waste"] also recognize the economic, social and environmental benefits that can accrue from the continued use of electrical and electronic equipment, even reuse following repair or refurbishment in the receiving country. Reference to the U.N. Millennium Development goal of furthering access to ICT would be appropriate].”
