Jessie Henshaw
Jessie is an Architect who began in Physics, and then went back to physics as she found a way to uncover the design ideas of natural systems, following a parallel intent to Alexander's search for what it is that fills nature with living quality, but initially organized as a method of opening up scientific research to the depth of relationships that nature relies on.
Jessie is in the process of translating some of the elements of natural systems designs she found to a Pattern Language format. The thinking about design patterns, as recurring sets of working relationships to understand, is evident in the large part of her earlier work too. One of her conclusions is that natural language is really our original "pattern language", in that the meanings of all our words originated for communicating recognized recurrent patterns of nature and experience.    Her recent writing is mostly on her journal for research notes and comment Reading Nature's Signals.
