It's not practical to go to the moon to get Helium 3.
It's ridiculously difficult to get to the moon to mine Helium 3 and even more difficult still to transport the materials that we've mined back to Earth. It's far better to stay on Earth and produce it ourselves than having to go to the moon to mine it.
