Groundwater, taken from earths surface creates voids; empty pockets in earths surface where water is taken from. Groundwater- where we currently get over 40% of our potable water source, is what we use to survive. Surviving as in drinking, as in agriculture, anything our humanity needs to continue
until recently, no idea how much groundwater is actually in the earth's surface, that we are even able to get--too far down into the earths surface and we don't have the technology to get to that point yet. No clue of actual amount of water we had, so we were just taking a certain amount out, and this won't last for long.
