The problem

In a narrative therapy session the therapist could enquire into which of the tamariki represent aspects of the problem and the effects of the problem on the tamariki.

If a client says they have a problem with anger then this relates to Tumatauenga the tamariki of anger.  This could be a cultural approach to externalising the problem (anger) by seeing it as Tumatauenga.
