Our school, AIA academy is constantly struggling to meet the needs of students. Approximately half of our students are below grade level to different degrees while the other half are meeting or exceeding standards. This makes for ha huge variety of student needs and required supports for becoming successful learners. Universal Design principles can ensure high expectations and barrier free curriculum access for all students. The increased student engagement and opportunities for multiple means of representation and expression will increase success for all of our students.
