Multiple Means of Representation

Providing options for how learning materials are represented not only assists students with sensory disabilities to be able to access materials, but also provides more efficient learning for students who have a sensory preference or cultural difference in learning style; in addition, all students benefit from having opportunities to make connections between different representations of a concept (National Center on Universal Design for Learning, 2014). Represented information should provide options for perception, language and symbols, and comprehension.
