75% of all scholars on the subject accept the empty tomb as a fact
Roughly 75% of scholars on the subject accept the empty tomb as a historical fact. Gary Habermas has counted a total of twenty-three arguments for an empty tomb posited by a number of critical scholars from 1975-2005. Not building inerrancy into one’s argument does not abandon historicity.
This is absurd. Inerrancy is not a sufficient or necessary condition for any historical fact. This historiographical method proposed by Mr. Schieber is ludicrous. Appealing to lack of multiple accounts does not discredit a singular account (even if there is only one). I suppose that’s too much evidence then, huh?
