Hunger games -Suzanne Collins ☜The Hunger games is about what happened after the U.S , as we know it today, was destroyed and from the ashes came a world of dystopia. Not only was the government corrupt but peoples values , way of life , and even the entertainment were all in the fashion of a dystopian society . ☜FFB597

Excerpt / Summary
In this Text it describes not only an analysis of Hunger games but also connects it to cultural situations. It makes apparent the fact that the works of “Suzanne Collins , is more clinical and ironic” than other fictional books written during this time and for the same demographics such as Harry Potter and Twilight. By this writing doing this it is helpful because it separates this text from typical texts of this sort of genre. It breaks away from it being just another fantastical piece but really displays that comparing some parts to the world today it may not be as fictional as it seems. In this analysis it points out that in the world of the Hunger games “Justice doesn’t exist , and freedom is an illusion.” When applying this to a society it aligns perfectly with the idea of dystopia. This way of approaching this work would be important to rhetorics because it displays how it affects the public and relates it enough to the current world that the public can indeed relate. It describes not only exactly what Hunger games is but also how people who read or are familiar with the books can see dystopia occurring or coming about in the near future. It is very important to the answer I give to the question of “What will become of the world?” with this source I am able to relate ideas of dystopia and specific examples of how it affects culture of people. It is important not only the the answer that I wish to prove in my paper but in fact is an important piece of work just in literature since it is a real comparison of a fictional book to real events which in fact brings credibility to the novel the “Hunger Games”.

Excerpt / Summary
In this journal this exact entry describes not only how Hunger Games relates to modern times but also describes exactly what dystopia is, the actual hunger games world and how people interpreted it. “ Recent literary publications for young adults include a plethora of dystopian titles.” by stating this it brings to light how integrated a dystipoian world is in literature which makes it a subject that cannot be ignored. Also like in my public work this journal points out how not only does this writing relate to current days but past too. “ In the Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur, the King of Athens offered a tribute of seven Athenian girls and seven Athenian boys to King Minos of Crete as compensation for another nine years of peace.” This proves to a public audience that this story is in fact an old one, which makes it apparent that the ideas of dystopia have been retold over again and again through out history. This journal brings to light that the Hunger games was indeed written about “post-apocalyptic America.” which aids in proving this fictional novels relevance to today and to the readers of the public piece. This journal is extremely important rhetorically because it is written by a fellow scholar and describes not only how the general public may see it but also how other scholars and and philosophers have looked at dystopia as being a possibility. Also it displays actual examples in the the modern world. I wish to use every part of this not only as research but mostly to obtain examples of how exactly it relates to our world today and n history.

Excerpt / Summary
This grouping of essays was used to understand Hunger games and to discover underlying themes that may allude others. These essays not only use quotes from the hunger games but like many of the other pieces pulled out about dystopia give examples. “appreciate the manner in which a long-lasting confrontation between two powers - Capitol and District 13 or the USA and the U.S.S.R.” As seen in this quote the essays do not just pull from current events but even those in the past. This article is great to relate to the public because not only is it the kind of writing that the public would understand but it gives examples that the public would also know and are easy to interpret.
