Excerpt / Summary
In my final source, I played on my religious audience’s orientation to the desire to be moral. I found some solid information in Walter Sinnott-Armstrong’s book Morality without God, where he brings up the notion that it is in everyone’s best interest to be moral. People tend to benefit from being good to others, usually with relationships and jobs. Additionally, he argues that morality can be defined again in terms of violence, where an act that causes harm to yourself or others is not moral. Using this information, I made morality a desirable characteristic and demonstrated that anyone can practice it.
